The Woman who broke the Machine

reposting a poem i wrote a while ago. The Woman who broke the Machine is calling.

The Woman who broke the Machine
is full of wonder
She can talk to the flowers, rocks, trees, rivers
She can dance with the mountain spirits

The Woman who broke the Machine
does not believe in locks
She does not know words 'guilty' or 'suttee'
She creates no security only safety

The Woman who broke the Machine
has a tender heart, dancing body and light in her eyes
She can hold your hand and cross the line to divine
She takes off her clothes and laughs

---Dedicated to airports and other entities with security systems---

<The meeting with the machine happened at the airport, while returning from a vacation. The Machine was one of the 'security sarcophagus' which locked me in, and huffed, and puffed, and tickled its senses with my essence. After about 7 minutes of huffing analysis, the puzzled machine went into a cyclical contemplation of its own blinking lights, upon which the disappointed security crew had to search everyone manually>

this is what i need

“Nietzsche was the one who did the job for me. At a certain moment in his life, the idea came to him of what he called ‘the love of your fate.’ Whatever your fate is, whatever the hell happens, you say, ‘This is what I need.’ It may look like a wreck, but go at it as though it were an opportunity, a challenge. If you bring love to that moment—not discouragement—you will find the strength is there. Any disaster that you can survive is an improvement in your character, your stature, and your life. What a privilege! This is when the spontaneity of your own nature will have a chance to flow.

"Then, when looking back at your life, you will see that the moments which seemed to be great failures followed by wreckage were the incidents that shaped the life you have now. You’ll see that this is really true. Nothing can happen to you that is not positive. Even though it looks and feels at the moment like a negative crisis, it is not. The crisis throws you back, and when you are required to exhibit strength, it comes.”

There is a common pattern that straggle is the best fertilizer for growth, for development.

Facing the opposition, fighting various scarcities, searching for an identity - brings development, inventions, definitions, and passions.

And yet there is another way of growth. Growth from abundance. Growth not because you have to take this space, or someone else would. Not because if you don’t do it in this moment/year/life, that's an opportunity waisted. There is growth that happens itself, because what else is to do but to grow, to stretch, to play with the space around you? You? Who are you? no matter…

This is the gift the day gave me today, just what i needed to hear.

If people knew how hard I worked to get my mastery, it wouldn't seem so wonderful at all.

The great thing and the hard thing is to stick to thing when you have outlived the first interest and not yet the second which comes with a sort of mastery.

I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.

Conversation of King with his Son

-- ...the animals are not yet conscious of themselves as individuals, only as members of the community, whose law arranges their death or their toil. It is only in men that that consciousness burns with so fierce a flame that he is shut into himself altogether, separate from his kind: the individual.

Where the individual is, no system can work perfectly or prove lasting; for in all systems there is injustice, and one class profiting at the expense of another; and since individuals will always work for their own gain and not the system's, the suffering class will always end by turning and preying upon the other.

And so it will be till the individual, through his own conscious flame as high as ever, wins back to that lost consciousness of the Whole which ants and bees still possess; and on that day the purposes of evolution and destiny will be accomplished, and there will be no more need for this world.

-- Then we lost consciousness of the Whole in order to get to be individuals? And now that we are individuals it is our business to get back the consciousness of the Whole? That seems like going around in a circle.

-- Eternity is circle, for only circle has no end. But before we were conscious only of our own species; that was all we could grasp of the Whole. And when we recover that wider consciousness it too will have widened; and we shall be one with all species, and know creatures alike for our fellow beings. But millions of ages will pass before all the world has attained to consciousness of the Whole. And it is very likely that we man of now will by then have outgrown this Earth.

....No government is ever entirely right, since true government can come only from within, not without. And therefore it is well for the rules not to meddle too much, but to strive to protect the weaker and the stronger from one another - for he who takes sides fosters feuds and breeds the ruin of all - and otherwise leave this world to the individual, to whom it belongs, and who can learn only by making his own mistakes.

“We danced too wild,
and we sang too long,
and we hugged too hard,
and we kissed too sweet,
and howled just as loud as we wanted to howl,
because by now we were all old enough to know
that what looks like crazy on an ordinary day
looks a lot like love if you catch it in the moonlight.”

“You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.

“The youth of today are absolutely right in recognizing this nonsense of earning a living. We keep inventing jobs because of this false idea that everybody has to be employed at some kind of drudgery because, according to Malthusian-Darwinian theory, he must justify his right to exist.

The true business of people should be to go back to school and think about whatever it was they were thinking about before somebody came along and told them they had to earn a living”.

Buckminster Fuller

You can lead a horse to water, but you can not make it drink....

Ah, but you can make her thirsty....

And that is what true teachers do...make one thirsty for something that only she can open herself to experiencing

in the beginning that was Self

From the Vedic Indian Brhadāraņyaka Upanişad :

... in the beginning this universe was but the Self in the form of a man. He looked around and saw nothing but himself. Thereupon, his first shout was, "It is I!"; whence the concept "I" arose.—And that is why, even today, when addressed, one answers first, "It is I!" then gives the other name that one bears. . . .

Then he was afraid.—And that is why anyone alone is afraid.—He considered: "Since there is nothing here but myself, what is there to fear?" Whereupon the fear departed; for what should have been feared? it is only to a second that fear refers.

However, he still lacked delight.—Therefore, one lacks delight when alone.—He desired a second. He was just as large as a man and woman embracing. This Self then divided himself in two parts; and with that, there were a master and mistress.—Therefore this body, by itself, as the sage Yajnavalkya declares, is like half of a split pea. And that is why, indeed, this space is filled by a woman.—He united with her, and from that mankind arose.

She, however, reflected: "How can he unite with me, who am produced from himself? Well then, let me hide!" She became a cow, he a bull and united with her; and from that cattle arose. She became a mare, he a stallion; she an ass, he a donkey and united with her; and from that solid-hoofed animals arose. She became a goat, he a buck; she a sheep, he a ram and united with her; and from that goats and sheep arose.—Thus he poured forth all pairing things, down to the ants.

Then he realized: "I, actually, am creation; for I have poured forth all this." Whence arose the concept "Creation" [sŗşţih: literally, "what is poured forth, projected, sent forth, emanated, generated, let go, or given away"].—One who thus understands becomes, himself, truly a creator in this creation.
